"If you are the big tree, we are the small axe"

A social movement born in the plaza's of Spain. However the importance of this movement is lost without a contextualization of from where it came. While it was born in the plazas, this movement was conceived in a plurality of situations and places. As such its creators and their individual visions of the world they seek to construct are equally heterogenous.

The project began as a dialogue between photographer, Michael Davidson and the focus of the project, Liam. Through mutual collaboration, they aimed to create a body of work that through photography, would allow Liam to experience its therapeutic qualities.

Picture This is a story about Liam, who through photography discovered a process which has allowed him to be creative within a space, whilst attempting to alleviate the daily struggle with depression and grief.

The images allow the viewer to experience Liam’s world.

“Their New Country” is a long term photo project about emigrants from France and Spain. It investigates their ways of adapting in a foreign country and looks deep in their personal emigrating stories. Until now I meet and realize photo essay about people from Honduras, China, Bulgaria, Cecenia, and Columbia.

Papua is the largest province in Indonesia and it’s home to approximately 1% of Indonesia’s population. However, approximately 40% of all HIV/AIDS cases in Indonesia are located in Papua. Currently, Papua has the highest HIV/AIDS infection rate in the country, 15 times higher than the national average and the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence outside of Africa.

Untag This Photo, a project photographed in various clubs and lounges around New York City, takes a look at the intersection of the contemporary, Lady Gaga-esque exhibitionism with the viral explosion of digital cameras and social-networking participants,  examining its effect on the social behavior and self-representation of women. Cameras, ever more compact and omnipresent, are increasingly admitted into heretofore 'private' realms: late-night dance halls, erotic events, even in the bedroom. Instead of an instrument of voyeurism, the camera becomes a welcomed participant. The women photographed are not just permitting but actually performing for the camera; it connects them, the virtual exhibitionists, to a vast anonymous audience.

Hal Far, Malta is a disused airfield situated in the less populated south of the Island. The area is home to an over crowded African migrant community looking to enter Europe by boat from Libya. Housing is provided through makeshift tents, containers and old converted British colonial buildings.

Whilst at Hal Far in 2010 the situation was one of patience and waiting. The flow of migrants heading toward the island had slowed and the residents lucky enough to leave had brought hope for the other African immigrants. However a recent increase in numbers of African migrants fleeing Africa through Libya once more has caused the situation to worsen and raise tensions.
